The B18C engines are a part of Honda’s B engine lineup. They were introduced in 1988 and sold along with the D-series. The B engine is the performance variant, and the B18C was one of the more powerful models with VTEC. They have a 1.8L displacement and come in a couple of variants.

The B18C Type R is a DOHC VTEC engine that produces either 197 or 200 horsepower, with an S80 Helical LSD transmission. The VTEC engages at 5800 or 6000 rpm, and this engine was commonly found in the 96-01 Honda Integra JDM Type R. There’s also the B18C engine, non type-R, which was found in the Integra JDM SiR, SiR II and SiR-G and produced 178 horsepower. The B18C engine for sale can be found in a lot of popular models that Honda produced from 1994 to 2001, such as the Integra we mentioned, as well as the Acura Integra and the Honda Civic.
